Home Fire Alarm System
Introduction:
In collaboration with my batchmate, Ravi Lokesh Gotam, I, Harika Devarapalli, present our project detailing the design of a home fire alarm system utilizing Arduino technology. Safety in the home environment is paramount, and our project aims to address this crucial aspect through innovation and practical implementation.
Here is an Arduino based home fire alarm system meant for home safety.
The TMP36 sensor is used to detect the temperature, if temperature greater than threshold value, then the led will glow.
The MQ2 sensor is used to detect the smoke, if detected value is greater than threshold value, then the buzzer rings.
This project describes the design of a home fire alarm with Arduino-based system.
Schematic View
Functionality:
Temperature Detection: The TMP36 sensor is employed to monitor the temperature in the surrounding environment. If the temperature exceeds a predefined threshold value (set at a maximum of 80), an LED indicator is activated, indicating a potential fire hazard.
Smoke Detection: The MQ2 sensor is utilized to detect the presence of smoke particles in the air. When the sensor detects smoke levels surpassing a predetermined threshold value (set at 100), an audible alarm in the form of a buzzer is triggered, alerting occupants of potential danger.

We are going to need an Arduino Uno make this project work, we also need the following items.
- Bread board
- Mq2 gas sensor
- TMP36 sensor
- LED
- Resistors
- Buzzer
- Connecting Wires
CONCLUSION:
In conclusion, our Arduino-based home fire alarm system offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for enhancing home safety. By integrating temperature and smoke sensors, along with visual and auditory indicators, we provide an effective early warning system against fire hazards. With a commitment to innovation and safety, our project underscores the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding lives and property within domestic environments.
The max threshold value of temperature sensor is 80. When the value is greater than max then the glows “LED” . If the threshold value of gas sensor is greater then 100 it buzzer’s the sound.
